Description

HUSKEY ZINC BASED THREAD COMPOUNDS are made with the finest quality ingredients using only pure metallic zinc, premium oils and greases. These products are formulated to conform to recommendations outlined in API Spec 7 page 58, appendix F.

HIGH TEMPERATURE THREAD LUBRICANT

Description

HUSKEY RB-3 consists of non-volatile, high temperature grease, blended with generous amounts of powdered zinc, amorphous graphite, corrosion and oxidation inhibitors.

Usage

HUSKEY RB-3 was designed for Geothermal applications where Heat is the prime concern. RB-3 is very effective in rock with stratified formation. Typically used with pipe sizes 3.5″-4.5″ diameter, however, with extreme heat it is excellent on all pipe sizes. When dealing with heat, HUSKEY RB-3 is definitely the professional’s choice.

ALL PURPOSE DRILL COLLAR & TOOL JOINT ANTI-SEIZE COMPOUND

Description

HUSKEY RB-2 is one of our most versatile anti-seize and thread sealing compounds. It consists of a balanced blend of pure metallic zinc, amorphous graphite and other lubricating solids homogenized into a high temperature grease base. HUSKEY RB-2 is fortified with the most modern additives to maximize protection against rust, corrosion and water washout.

Advantages

HUSKEY RB-2 will prevent seizure, galling, belling of tool joints, etc., on rotary-shouldered connections. It provides sealing protection and prevents leakage even in high-pressure, deep wells. HUSKEY RB-2 provides excellent shoulder-to-shoulder make-up in high angle drilling.

Usage

Due to its versatility, HUSKEY RB-2 is used extensively in the industry, both as an anti-seize compound for drill collars and tool joints and as a sealing compound for casing and tubing. It is also used extensively in steam injection wells due to its resistance to high temperatures.

Applications

EXTRA HEAVY-DUTY ANTI-SEIZE COMPOUND

Description

HUSKEY GOLD KING is an “Extreme Service” anti-seize and lubricating compound. Formulated with high concentrations of micro-size copper flakes, finely powdered zinc, and graphite; homogenized into an extremely water resistant, high temperature grease base. HUSKEY GOLD KING provides the maximum protection to all threaded connections, particularly under severe stress conditions.

Usage

HUSKEY GOLD KING is particularly effective for use when dealing with fine-threaded connections in high heat and torque situations. HUSKEY GOLD KING also provides extreme protection for rotary shouldered connections of drill collars, tool joints, and down-hole specialty tools. HUSKEY GOLD KING reduces ft.-lb. torque on break-outs.

ANTI-SEIZE ALL PURPOSE THREAD COMPOUND

Description

HUSKEY GOLD BRONZE is our most popular copper and zinc powder based compound. Although GOLD BRONZE is in a medium price range, it may be used in all but the most severe drilling conditions. HUSKEY GOLD BRONZE also contains rust and oxidation inhibitors homogenized into a high temperature grease base.

Advantages

HUSKEY GOLD BRONZE provides maximum protection to threaded connections of rotary shouldered drill strings at prices that provide substantial savings over competitive brands.

Usage

HUSKEY GOLD BRONZE is formulated to provide maximum protection and efficiency to both rotary tool joints and drill collars (with the exception of large diameter drill collars). It greatly reduces foot/pound torque on break-outs and prevents galling and seizure on shouldered connections.

XLANTI-SEIZE COMPOUND FOR ROCK DRILL STEEL JOINTS AND COUPLINGS

Description

HUSKEY C-70-XL is designed for rock drill steel joints and couplings used in “rope socket” percussion drilling operations. This product contains a high percentage of metallic powdered zinc homogenized into a superior grease carrier containing extreme pressure additives, rust and oxidation inhibitors.

Applications

HUSKEY C-70-XL assures complete protection against extreme vibrations due to percussion impact. Will not melt or coke up. Performs under the most adverse conditions.

HIGH PRESSURE THREAD SEALING COMPOUND

Description

HUSKEY API SPECIAL is a high pressure thread sealing compound that represents the industry standard for tubing and casing in deep, high pressure wells due to its high percentage (64%) of lubricating solids. This product is adapted from the API Bulletin 5A2.

HUSKEY API SPECIAL provides maximum protection to threaded connections against leakage, galling, seizing and other thread hazards.

Usage

HUSKEY API SPECIAL is highly recommended as a high pressure thread sealant for all fine threaded down hole connections, operating in pressures of up to 10,000 p.s.i.

COPPER ANTI-SEIZE COMPOUND

Description

HUSKEY 341 COPPER ANTI-SEIZE is a heavy-duty, economical industrial anti-seize and lubricating paste containing a balanced blend of copper and graphite powder in a no-melt petroleum base grease. HUSKEY 341 leaves a protective film that protects metal parts and fasteners against extreme conditions of steam, chemicals, water and high temperatures to 2000°F.

Advantages

HUSKEY 341 is unlike conventional products on the market because the maximum blend of metallic solids, proprietary dry-film lubricants and anti-galling agents have been homogenized into a specially designed petroleum base grease which does not contain clay or soap base thickeners.
